For our neighbours

Community Space

Practical care, close to home.

A little help

You're welcome here.

When life is difficult, you don't have to work everything out on your own.

Community Space is Grafton Baptist Church's practical care ministry. We help with food and everyday essentials, and make time to listen.

The ministry began in 2016 with help from BaptistCare. Today the church continues this work, with food supplied through Foodbank and Coles SecondBite.

You don't need to be part of our church to contact us about support.

Getting support

Before you visit

Call for opening hours

Community Space operates weekly. Call the church for this week's opening day and times before visiting.

(02) 6642 2503

Ask what is available

Food and supplies vary. Call to check current availability, where to come and any arrangements for collecting support.

Tell us what would help

Whether you need practical essentials or would value a conversation, our team can discuss what support is available.

Lend a hand

Volunteer

Sorting supplies, preparing food relief and welcoming people all take willing hands. Talk with us about what is needed and the induction required for a role.

Ask about volunteering

Support the work

Give practically

Call before dropping off donated goods so we can confirm what is useful and when someone will be there to receive it. The Hub Shop has also supported this ministry through clothing and household goods.

For financial giving, ask the church directly for its current giving arrangements.

Call to discuss a donation

Community Space is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000.
